The device is a collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, which commemorates the third anniversary of the mobile game Injustice: Gods Among Us.
South Africa is among the first countries to receive the device.
The Injustice Edition package includes a black Galaxy S7 Edge with gold detailing and a Batman-inspired seal on the back.
An Injustice Edition Samsung Gear VR, in-game credit for the Injustice mobile game, and Oculus VR content vouchers are also included.
Samsung said the device is on sale at select Samsung brand stores and online at Bidorbuy.
